This single-page engraving of a fox with two tails was later trimmed and hand-colored; it is now held in the Archive of the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin. The print was published in 1768 as page 34 of Ridinger’s book on “unusual animals” and shows a fox hunted in 1734, whose pelt also belonged to the Kunstkammer collection. The engraving was kept in the Königliches Zoologisches Museum (later the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin). As a single sheet, it was transferred from the mammal division in 2000. Twenty other engravings by Ridinger are also currently held by the MfN Archive.
